"Guerilla gurus Zeroh join forces with Telling Stories: to create Off The Wall; a ‘secret city’ art project led by QR codes. Each of the Telling Stories: artists showcases a new commission which can only be viewed via a smart phone QR reader. The printed designs are placed around the town centre, taking artwork out of the gallery and into the heart of the community".

The Telling Stories: project showcases exciting commissions by multi-disciplinary artists from Hastings & Margate in a form of creative & cultural exchange. As a touring exhibition with associated events, workshops & performances, Telling Stories: aims to bring contemporary art to the coastal communities, both of which are undergoing regeneration led by the arts.

Telling Stories: Hastings involves fourteen artists whose practice is strongly linked with either town; seven from Hastings & seven artists from Margate. The core exhibition takes place at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, running from 22 September, 2012, to 13 January, 2013.

The practitioners have developed new works under the umbrella concept of ‘telling stories’ in a bid to engage wide audiences & broach the intellectual & metaphysical space between artist, viewer & art object. The artists share their stories in the hope that the viewer immerses into the storytelling with their own narrative powers.
